Lila Dasgupta was born in 1969. She participated in several art shows at ‘Academy of Fine Arts’, Kolkata and in Rashtriya Kalamela, Bangalore. Lila held one solo exhibition of paintings at ‘Academy of Fine Arts’, Kolkata, in 2002 and participated in another art show organized by ‘City Art Factory’, Hyderabad. She held two joint exhibitions of paintings with Dipta Dasgupta - one in ‘Chitrakoot Art Gallery’, Kolkata in 2014 which was inaugurated by the famous actor and poet Soumitra Chattopadhyay and the other one at ‘Nati Binodini Art Gallery’, Kolkata in 2019, an event presided by the great poet, Sankha Ghosh. Lila Dasgupta specializes in mural, terracotta and textile designing. Many puja pandels have been themed on her artistic decorations where she created the image of Durga in her own style. She has to her credit, one illustrated book of poems titled ‘Rangin Alor Jyotsna’ and a technical book of art containing paintings called ‘Chabir Katha’.
