Born in 1956, Dipak Kumar Ghosh has been strolling in the field of art since dawn of his being. All his early works are up on many art connoisseurs' walls as well as private collections. Ghosh choose to develop 'portrait' as his work of excellence. His dexterity lies in etching soulful 'Eyes' that cast a spell on the onlookers. He believes 'eye' can ever lie. Therefore, his works of eyes on canvas says: "Eyes say it all". Ghosh's portrait looks uncannily alive with myriads of emotions playing on the faces. They mirror the artist's perspective on life that has got shaped through his propinquity with people of diverse shades, grades and depth. An artist of such impeccable finesse, he presented his first portrait in an Art Exhibition at the tender age of 10. Yet, it was not until he turned 60 that he held his first exclusive exhibition in Delhi that was inaugurated by the Late President of India, Dr Pranab Mukherjee. He picked commercial art as his profession and served the Indian advertising industry for over 4 decades and continues to be an integral part of it even now.
